Gamepoint Youth Basketball League-
GYBL or Game Point Youth Basketball League is our recreational basketball league catering to the youth in our community. Our goal is to create a safe and judge-free platform so kids of all ages who are beginning to learn the game and the camaraderie of sports can enjoy.
FAQs
When and where do the practices and games take place?
All practices and games will be held in Game Point Miami. A practice schedule will be provided for your child; practices will take place either Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday, either at 6 pm or 7 pm.
Will jerseys be provided?
Yes, we will provide custom NBA-inspired uniforms for kids, including full set jerseys and shorts.
How long is the season?
The season is 7 weeks long plus playoffs.
Will they be playing any games?
Refereed games will be played Saturday mornings/early afternoons during the duration of the season.
Who will be the coaches?
Game Point will hire coaches for the teams in the leagues.
Can parents volunteer as coaches?
Yes, parents can volunteer to be assistant coaches for the team their child is on.
When does the league begin?
April 1st.
Do we have to bring our own basketballs to practice?
Basketballs will be provided by Game Point.
Is there a siblings discount?
Yes, we will provide a 15% discount.
How competitive is GYBL?
Our long-term plan is to have multiple divisions of basketball play. Currently, for our first season, we are trying to build community and cater to entry to mid-level basketball players who want to learn the fundamentals of the game of basketball.
